Anyone know if this would work?
Okay - now that I have a working Radica MOD (those who haven't already - check the comapt list, lots of updates recently!) does anyone know if the following would work? :?: ---Tototek 32MB flash cart--- Since the original Radica ROM is 32MB, it 'should' work... :? I know that the 64MB flash cart won...

There is a little BIAS pot on the laser head... Default Value (US/UK) = 1.00 Meg Ohms :) Adjusted Value (US) = 1.06 Meg Ohms :D Adjusted Value (UK) = 1.60 Meg Ohms  The adjusted values for the pot should help when reading discs! 8) Be careful to use the CORRECT one for your machine reg...

Well, I have a few more carts... :D Also I have a "Reference" Megadrive now - so I can say with certainty that all my carts WORK! :D That was the good news... The bad is that since the "Streets of Rage" cart still works, it means that my JAP Radica is faulty... :( Thankfully I have a 'fresh' ...

32x Region MOD...?
Does anyone know if it was possible to Region MOD a 32x console?
If so, is there a URL that the info can be found at?
Just wondering...

@goodie - I agree with you on this one. It's a pretty famous story among Sonic fans (and I'm one of the biggest - I played Sonic games 24/7 when I was a kid!). 8) @SgtBowhack - Heh, you have a point though. If the pronunciation is there then it must be right! Ah well - everyone calls him Tail...

I'm collecting too...
Heh, thanks! I'll remember that if I'm looking for something I need... 8) Although in retrospect, I'm collecting boxed titles - not just for test purposes! That would mean shipping everything inc. box, cover sleeve, cart and manual. I'll test out my Sonic 2 first though! Once I know th...

Heh, I cleaned the edge connectors on the carts before I tested!
Oh, and I've scored myself a JAP Sonic 2 on eBay : -

I'll test it when it arrives and update my list...

Indeed, it'll be interesting to see the new SF2:SCE Radica unit. The best part will be the DUAL 6-button controllers! 8) The Jakks is also somewhat interesting as (like @Red5 said) it has save support...my guess it's a Radica 'type' mainboard in the top of the pad 'case' just like in the Radica unit...

Not recommended!
WHOA! Trust me Ben, you don't want to use the cable from the Radica controller for an extension lead! I just finished modding my JAP Radica unit recently and I had to solder a DB-9 connector onto the joypad lead... :( ...the lead used for the Radica is the WORST quality wire I've EVER seen -...

Radica Compatibility testing...
I'm starting a new thread for testing carts on the modded Radica GOAC units...(as I've now fixed mine!) :D Format is "ROM Name", "ROM Region", "Test Result"... Also, on carts that FAIL, the reason is given in < > type brackets. Also post the version of the Radica unit you used (or just...

Well, you can scratch the "F1" component from the "does it switch the vid mode" list...nope it doesn't! :( Due to the slightly more "tidy" design of the mainboard on the Radica UK units, the extra "F1" component is simply a "link" for the V+ on the mainboard. In short, the U.K. Radica won't e...

Radica V2 pack hits U.K.
Yup, for all us U.K. folks the V2 radica game pack is available from Friebox at this link :D : - http://www.firebox.com/index.html?dir=firebox&action=product&pid=994&showAllImages=0 Although I WILL be getting one eventually, I'd advise collectors like myself to wait around a while, as the price is W...
