Re: PSTwo/Sony 5" LCD/RGB/green tint - Here's the complete FIX!
hey, i was just reading up on your breakthrough fix, and i was suddenly reminded of a post made by Bacteria when he was building his psone portable (intoplay). anyway, in an image he posted, you could see the RBG lines being connected to points on the other side of the board, that correspond with t...

Re: PSTwo/Sony 5" LCD/RGB/green tint - Here's the complete FIX!
Yeah, lifting one end of the caps up disconnects them from the extra circuitry. It was the first thing I tried, so I don't know if soldering the wires in without lifting the caps would work. I'll try at some point though... This mod only changes anything on the screen PCB, not on the PSTwo itself. I...

Re: PSTwo/Sony 5" LCD/RGB/green tint - Here's the complete FIX!
I love my PS2 ('s)! So many games for them. I just beat Persona 4. I do have a Wii and 360, and the roommate has a PS3, but I won't play them as often until they get a large amount of good RPG's. I know there are some, but nowhere near the list for PS2. Back on topic, the other PSTwo has been runnin...

Re: PSTwo/Sony 5" LCD/RGB/green tint - Here's the complete FIX!
Yay! Thanks mods! Now, can or has anyone else tried this? I know mine works, but I wanna know whether it's a universal fix or not. I know there are a few PCB variations for the screen and the PSTwo. FWIW, the PSTwo I used was a model SCPH-70001 (No modem, separate EE and GS chips). I'll try it on an...

Re: PSTwo/Sony 5" LCD/RGB/green tint - Here's the complete FIX!
Man, that must've sucked. I would've mentally blocked that too! Thankfully I at least have a few spare parts if I kill anything, though I only have 1 screen so I gotta be careful with it (not that I have been).

Re: PSTwo/Sony 5" LCD/RGB/green tint - Here's the complete FIX!
This is probably silly, but would you be willing to try a DVD movie in it and confirm that there's no green tint there either? The issue with DVD playback is that Sony decided to make the PSTwo switch over to component video from RGB whenever a DVD is playing, because analog RGB doesn't support Mac...

Re: Internet for the PS2
These things sold for $15 at the EB Games I used to work at, IIRC. I have a couple. I really doubt anyone could duplicate one for under $100, considering you'll need the custom connector, all the chips, and a PCB...

Re: PS2P hailrazer style
hey again, just a little update; i got my battery today, and despite my request to have it shipped USPS, it was shipped UPS, costing me an extra 25 bux on delivery (GAHHH). but now i have it, and i am confident it will be perfect for my project!! GAHHH indeed! I hear you on UPS in Canada; they've s...

Yeah, I didn't think it'd be quite this simple either. I was a bit surprised that my first test worked

More pictures: Nocturne, after about 1 hour 15 minutes. CRW_1366.jpg Okami after 1 hour 30 minutes. CRW_1398.jpg I started this save file on this setup, and played for the time shown. It's still running now, after 2 hours 43 minutes, and no green tint... CRW_1412.jpg Also, anyone have any idea how t...

PSTwo/Sony 5" LCD/RGB/green tint - Here's the complete FIX!
Hi all, I've figured out how to permanently fix the green tint issue between the official Sony PSX 5" screen and the slim PSTwo. As of this writing, mine has been running for 2 hours 12 minutes, and exhibits NO problem. First off, a little background... I personally have seen the green tint issue, a...

Got a fix for the green tint issue. Posting it in it's own topic, as it could be rather important information for some people

Re: PSTwo HD Connect (or similar) - are they still around?
Yeah, the green tint issue is with games, as far as I've seen. The screen looks great when it's first booted up, but gradually starts to get darker and slightly green. What you're probably thinking of with DVD movies is that the newer PS2's force video output to switch from RGB to component when pla...

Re: PSTwo HD Connect (or similar) - are they still around?
Yeah, it's all I've got so far. Working on the screen. I've got the Sony PSX screen, of course, but I'm figuring out a better RGB solution to bypass the green tint problem, and I think I might have found something. The main video processing chip in the screen is the AN2526NFH from Panasonic. I looke...

Re: PSTwo HD Connect (or similar) - are they still around?
Man, I've been out of here for a LOOONG time! There are questions that need answering here.. Two things my fat PS2 does not need. I agree. That's why I have 4 1/2 fat PS2's for home use (don't ask about the 1/2 PS2...) This one, however, is for portable use. As for the DVD drive. If DMS4 essentially...
