No, it just gives you more cone space, and splits wattage in half. Instead of the entire 1 watt going to each speaker, you would now have 1/2 watt to each speaker. Absolutley no gainw hat so ever. In the car audio world where i come from, this would be good for, let's say, two 10" subs, but not a 1 ...

No, there's not a screen JUST for the grey Psone. In Sony's eyes, the big PSX was dead by the time they started producing LCDs for the little PSone. And yes, PSX is used for the big grey playstation. No one in the USA should refer the PSX as that big white DVR type thing in Japan. Since we never got...

I'm such an IDIOT! Ok... The LCD in my PC is for viewing my desktop when I need it, and it's also been patched off, complete with SP/DT switch, to a compsoite RCA input ont he front of my case. Well, to input composite I';m using the "ribbon" cable that plugs into the bottom of the LCD PCB... Long s...

Its also rather odd that I AM pulling off the PSU's molex connection. So, powered off PSU directly, into an official PSone LCD 12v - 7.5v adapter, soldered directly to the 7808 on the board. I was thinking it might be becuase I'm patching th epower off a line that runs a drive, or moving motors... T...

PSone LCD in PC has horrible quality... Any ideas?
Hi. I installed a Psone LCD in my computer to view my desktop on and have a switch to change between my S-Video output on my video card with a RCA input on the front of my case. Anyway, to power the LCD I used a car adapter... or 12v - 7.5v, made for PSone by the way. Well, everything works, but qua...

Another PSone LCD 12v idea...
Ok, the official Sony Psone LCD doesn't work at 12v because there's other things that run off the line leading to the 7805... Well... What if you cut the trace that splits off the 7805, and re-wired the output from the 7805 to this trace... So 12 into 5v regulator, the trace would need cut, and re-w...

Scratch this idea... Running 12v through the 5v regulator does something to the screen. I noticed monster changes when going from 12v directly to the 7508, and just plugging in the power adapter. The circuit must split from the 5v regulator's input to somewhere else. If it was JUST the regulator, yo...

Sony PSone LCD officially works with 12v... Other ?'s!
I don't know / care if anyoen already knows this. I couldn't find it when I searched becuase the search function on these phpbb forums SUCKS! Anywho... When you apply a 12v source directly to the official SONY PSone LCD, it DOES work... Its obvious it works becuase of the 5v regulator, 7508A... Thes...
