Re: Ideas for PS2 (Fat) Mod...
Make a VGA port there :) Here's a simple working schematic http://psx-scene.com/forums/f19/tutorial-homebrew-ps2-vga-cable-lordgeny-jigen-23129/index4.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It needs VGA-capable apps or games though :) I made one. Next to the AC connector, at the corner,...

Re: help with old model snes
VGA carries RGB, but the sync is different from plain RGB. You need a monitor to support the sync SNES outputs. And besides you need LM1881 or similar to separate H and V sync.

Re: being able to port out to a TV from hand held
Everything's possible.
But on that, there's jacks available that have switch in. You can just simply connect that switch to the LCD's power wire. So when you plug the A/V plug in, switch goes off and LCD shuts.
I would use 3,5mm jack.

You dont need cooling. Hottest thing is maybe the LCD or batteries, but even they are not warm.

Re: I made an Super Nintoaster
I found out that the CXA1645 was broken. Sometimes working, sometimes not. So, i found an old PSX N-PAL selector in my store, basically a RGB to composite. I decided to look inside, there was CXA1645. Okay, then i tried to just swap the video board with the selector, but did'nt work. Maybe because o...

Re: I made an Super Nintoaster
This time i removed the power board completely, just to make sure it's the power board... I connected only 5V, GND, R,G,B, Sync, but the picture is still dark. I noticed that when i decreased the voltage, the picture got even darker, and at about 4V, it shut down. Well, i tried increasing the voltag...

Re: snes controller autofire mod
It's called "turbo" in retro... well pre-xbox360 time. But to the point. You could use 555 timer chip. Just type 555 in Google and there's plenty of info about that. In datasheet, there's some example circuits, their perfectly fine. I remember that i made some strobolight with it, the same circuit s...

Re: I made an Super Nintoaster
I tried to resolder some spots on the power board, and clean it, but now it got even worse, the picture is very dark. And now i managed to get some kind of color picture out of it, by connecting RGB to SCART, but the picture is still dark. (I did'nt disconnect the power board, i just took signals fr...

Re: I made an Super Nintoaster
Now i have black and white picture. I thought it was previously related to cartridge connector, but apparently there's something else. First time this problem appeared was when i extended the cart connector, and removed NES, and disappeared after i shortened the cart connector wire. But now i can't ...

I made an Super Nintoaster
I've been trying to register on this site for a long time, there's a bug in site that puts COPPA on for adults, and Ben Heck can't reach to my registration activation mail. Eventually i made an another username. But to the point. I was gonna make an Nintoaster, after i watched some AVGN episodes. Or...
