Gamecube controller stops working

I'm at the final stretch of building my portable Gamecube; I'm currently trying to fix the last known problem. Everything starts just fine, but after roughly five minutes, the controller mysteriously stops working. Everything has been apoxyed in place; could it be a dysfunctional motherboard?

Re: Batteries and Voltage Regulators..How do I provide 12v & 5v?

Yes, you can use one battery pack to power your entire portable by simply attaching multiple wires to the PCB (Protection Circuit Board). Two wires, one positive and one negative, without a regulator (presuming the battery pack is roughly 12v) can power the screen. The other two wires can have a 780...

Psone screen headphone jack problems

When I wired my headphone jack to my Psone screen it worked perfectly fine, except for the fact that the speakers continue to operate whether the headphones are plugged in or not. I followed "Life of Brian" 's guide, but I still have this problem. If the headphones are plugged in, the speakers becom...

Re: Will this work as a case?

I don't know...I would spring for a bigger case if I were you; that controller might be too small. I'm currently using a lazerdoodle (which is a pretty large case) for my portable Gamecube, and space is really tight. Remember, it's better to have more space than you need rather than less. However, i...

I'm having PCB problems

My gamecube portable is falling apart fast. I'm fixed most of the problems, but one remains. In the picture below, you can see the PCB. The highlighted areas are the charging jack contacts. No matter if the charger is plugged in or not, the contacts generate 12.5V, the same as the rest of the system...

Re: Where can I get tact switches?

I usually order new parts from ca.Digikey.com ( Tactile Switches; off-Mom, vertical, non-illuminated, instock ) (because I am lazy, and shipping is free with orders > $50) but Mouser.com ( off-Mom, vertical, non-illuminated ) is good too. Also, here is a list of 'surplus' suppliers in Canada http:/...

Where can I get tact switches?

I'm currently doing Hailrazer's Gamecube trigger mod, and have figured out I need some 5mm momentary-on tact switches. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find any. Does anyone know where to get 5mm momentary-on tact switches? Somewhere on the internet would be preferable.

Gamecube trigger switches

In the following guide about replacing the Gamecube controller triggers (http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?t=33768), Hailrazer mentions using a tact switch. I am curious as to whether this is an ON-MOM switch or a OFF-MOM switch.

Re: I'm having fan problems! No, I'm not a celebrity.

For most fans, if you undervolt them, they will still run, just slower RPM. Is your battery pack fully charged? It should be about 12.6V fully charged (if it's lithium), which could be bad for the fan. Maybe that's the issue. Actually, yeah, it does work for a while. But after 15 minutes, it just s...

Re: I'm having fan problems! No, I'm not a celebrity.

Those fans need 12 volts. You are giving them 11.1 volts. That is your problem. voltage<required voltage = no worky You have two distinct choices: 1. Get a 5v fan 2. get 12v batteries 3. Bacon Hmm... This is quite problematic. Answers: 1. Is there website you can recommend for buying a fan? 2. New ...
