Re: Post your GBC/GBA SP mods/ideas
That looks awesome! Good work. What did you do for the charging/audio port on the GBA SP?

Gameboy Pocket Backlight Flicker
http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn185/TehBibin/IMG_1588.jpg Hey Guys, I bought a backlight from nonelectronics.com and it seems to work fine. However, following Bibin's tut at http://bibin.gg8.se/blog/projects-and-guides/how-to-backlight-a-game-boy-pocket/ , the screen flickers noticeably. And, ...

Replacing AAs with a 3.7v Li-Ion
I have many devices where I would love to replace the AAs or AAAs with a rechargeable 3.7v (or similar voltage) Li-ion battery. I have two extra 3.7v Li-ion batteries meant for a GBA SP. I know I need a protection circuit for charging and discharging but specifically which protection circuit? Will t...

Re: Im New and need help with a GBP light mod
First step is... Google it!!! or Search for it on this forum or Mod Retro or Racketboy. This has been done a billion times and there are a lot of good guides out there. In particular, Bibin has a solid guide. You can use only LEDs if you want but there will not be any diffusion. So your screen will ...

Re: Game Gear LCD Upgrade
Ohhh. Hmmm... Well, Lovablechevy knows way more about this stuff than I do so I'm baffled about the color issue.
But I'm still lost on how to get hold of that premade circuit. Can you simply submit a schematic to some company and have them build a small number of PCBs?

Re: Game Gear LCD Upgrade
@wallydawg I see why you said B&W output only. I found a couple websites like this one http://www.disgruntleddesigner.com/chrisc/segahacking/gamegearvideo.html where people were getting B&W output instead of color. From what I've gathered, the people who were getting B&W had much simpler decoders th...

Re: Game Gear LCD Upgrade
Thanks for the quick and informative responses! You guys are awesome :D @eagle5953 That RGB is insanely intense! Whichever composite converter I decide to go with will definitely be taken out the case and slimmed down as much as possible, so hopefully it won't be that big. But I think you're right o...

Game Gear LCD Upgrade
I've been checking out the "Game Gear to TV" articles and Youtube videos and it is definitely possible to get RGB video out of the Game Gear. My plan is to build the decoder ( http://members.optusnet.com.au/eviltim/ggrgb/ggrgb.html ) to produce RGB video and then purchase a RGB-to-Composite adapter ...
