Nice! It's called a switchable headphone jack. There's a diagram here:
Also, How was the board booting and you hadn't even relocated the cartridge slot!?!

Re: N64 Charging
That is exactly how I wired mine! Do you have a link to the PCB so I can read it's datasheet? I would suggest using this PCB.

Re: N64 Charging
Ok, I'm testing out the protection circuit right now. Has any one ever had problems connecting to the protection circuit? When I connect my multimeter to p+ and p- I get 0v. But when I connect it to P+ and B- I get 7.2v. Any help would be :awesome:. EDIT: I guess the protection circuit was in sleep ...

Re: N64 Charging
Thanks! Could you elaborate on the two way switch Idea? It would be great to have it work that way actually.
EDIT: Would this work? I've modified the first diagram to work with a two way switch.

N64 Charging
Hey everyone,
I've seen this diagram and was wondering how to make it so that when the DPDT switch is in the middle, its off. When its to the right its charging, and when its to the left, Not charging but running off batteries. Thanks,
mymixed

Update 12/18/10: I've made some progress including hooking up the audio amp and working on the case. I'll be hooking up the batteries this weekend. Re: wahwahwah worklog!
How many kohms? Just go there and ask if they have electronics. I've never been to a radioshack that didn't have resistors unless they were out of stock.

Do you have a radioshack where you live? They usually have that stuff (The resistor and the cap).

I would recommend using thermal paste. C-button mod
Hey everyone, The Ion 64 still works! But I have come to a problem. The C-Stick button mod won't work no matter what I try. I even tried as high of resistance as 22k ohms! Any suggestions? Im using a Super Pad 64 controller for the mod and a 3rd party gamecube stick. I've only hooked up one of the s...
