Re: ASUS M4A88T-I Deluxe
Yeah, ITX will fit. You may want to get a low-power processor (250 and 260 come to mind), some new LV DDR3 and a good 1u cooler. Also, grab a PicoPSU (if this is all you're puttin in there, plus a HDD, go with a 90W model) Best memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145282"...

Upgrade the processor? That's BGA last time I checked, and it's TONS OF FUN TO DO ON YOUR OWN. No, really.

No, no, I have the best idea.
An NES, SNES, N64 and a 'cube. All in one. Also, a PC.

Re: WTB - Phenom II CPUs, Laptop Parts, 2.5" HDD, SSDs, L4D PC
I have a 17" WUXGA LCD (which likely will work in your lappy there), and possibly a processor (I have a midrange S1 floating around someplace). CL4/CL5 DDRII-800 SODIMMs will be VERY hard to find. It's like 4GB DDRII DIMMs- Nobody wanted them bad enough to be compatible with them, so nobody made the...

The heatsink is quite nice, but it's not going to do much good with the exhaust blocked by the expansion slot

Re: can original xbox have more than one controller on one port?
If for personal use, why make it so thick (except for only to retain the classic look)?? Take a good 12" out of the depth, use a nice, bright LCD. I'd make a plank which can be inserted, which has a carrier which has a slide-in contact area to interface with whatever controllers you have on the plank.

Best thing to do is get a pair of passive copper 1U LGA775 heatsinks, and put a blower fan on them, blowing across and through both sets of fins.

Nice!! I would have interfaced the buttons with some sort of docking connector/game controller (I'm not familiar with exactly what's out, there, but I'm certain there are game controllers).

Re: PC problems
Of course it doesn't work: Acute problem is that the drive controller on the new system is not set up to be functional/compatible with the drivers on the old system's OS (if they exist at all). Macro reason is you just can't do this. An installation is compatible with one machine, and it's close bro...

Re: XBOX 360 laptop screen boards...
No, but that will work... There are 2 bulb versions out there. You'll need to figure out which lead coming from the LCD controller is the one which turns the inverter on, and which controls brightness. Put up some HIGH!! res shots of both boards- Should be easy enough if you can't do it on your own.

Re: XBOX 360 laptop screen boards...
I've done this a dozen times.
Skip splitting the board- Use the power from the brick/host/motherboard, and purchase a universal LCD inverter. Simple as that! Smaller, too.
