Just something to think about;
I'm pretty sure I read that some consoles can't have the cartridge slots located too far away [i.e. cable between PCB and cartridge slot too long] or it messes with the signal/timings.
Not sure how true it is, but it could be something to look in to.

Re: Cart emulator progress thread
Lots of new things/fixes in both menu 1.08 and firmware 1.03. Grab them both from the support page Is there a guide to updating the firmware anywhere? I assumed I'd just install the USB Drivers (FTDI D2XX) [CDM20814_Setup.exe] , and then run The Easy Upgrade (1.03) [64drive_firm_103.exe] ? But that...

Re: Cart emulator progress thread
Official controller pak, I've tried it with 2 of them.
It's not the save on the controller pak that is going, there isn't even any Wave Race save data on the controller paks.
It's the "in cart" save data.

Re: Cart emulator progress thread

NTSC N64 NTSC 64drive 8GB MicroSD FAT32 format menu 1.07 Wave Race 64 (U) (V1.1) [!] Default launch options 1 controller, 1 controller pak, no wa...

Re: Cart emulator progress thread
Oh man, if you ordered yours in September and still haven't got it, then I've still got ages to wait for mine.
At least a month anyway.
I wonder how many of these things Marshall has actually sold?

Re: Bought an RGB modded N64, need advice
Definitely plan to do that, but I'm ... waiting on a Nintendo bit so I can open the thing and see for myself. Bit of a race now, between the postman delivering the rest of my stuff and the time window I have to file a dispute. Why not just use the pen method to undo the screws? get a clear hexagona...

Re: Cart emulator progress thread
Placed my order yesterday. Now I've just got to wait for it to get here, as well as my NTSC N64 and do the RGB mod. While we're on the subject of cards; Is it better to use a CF over a Micro SD? I mean according to the FAQ, they're both the same speed, but obviously the Micro SD doesn't stick out th...

Re: Cart emulator progress thread
- Built in default 6102 CIC, - Supports 99.9% of all known images, Are these two things related? i.e. Will the games that use the 6105 [Banjo Tooie, Jet Force Gemini, etc] not load? Or is there some fancy electronic wizardry to get around this? If so, what does that 0.1% include? Obscure bootlegs?

Re: Cart emulator progress thread
I've noticed that you're always running it with an expansion pak. Is that necessary for that to work right, or will a jumper pak work too? I designed the menu to work with either. I've tested both But really, who wouldn't have an expansion pack? Some of the best games [Perfect Dark, Majora's Mask] ...

Re: Cart emulator progress thread
200 bucks hey?
I gues we all shouldn't have been so excited about it...... ha ha ha.
Seriously though, I can't wait. Now I just have to get an NTSC N64 shipped over and do the RGB mod.
