Super Nintendo Half Signal
Hey everyone, I'm starting (for the third try now) a super nintendo portable. I have a screen that accepts composite and battery input, so the only thing I need to do to the Super Nintendo is get it to run off battery power. We removed the default 7805, we removed the dc power jack, and then we hook...

4 AA batteries?
So i've seen that people can run the SNES and psone screen off of 4 AA batteries. It makes sense, cause if one double A is like 1.5 volts, 4 in series would be six. The only thing is that 6 volts doesnt go in the 7805 Regulator, so how can i wire this to my devices that take 5v? thanks!

Psone screw issue
Hey everyone, I'm working on my first project (a snes laptop) and it's coming along great. I thought I was in the winning stretch opening up the psone screen, and im getting rid of the 5 screws holding down the board only to find out whoever put it together stripped the hell out of the last screw. I...

I'm new to portabilizing, and i'm making a super nintendo portable from Ben's book. I don't want to build the hand-built one exactly like the book says, and I wanted to a different screen thats smaller and takes less power. I wanted to get one from this site: http://www.aeicomp.com/search_result.asp...

Re: Will this Battery Work?
The thing I like about the C battery is that it has 8000 mAh, and you can get rechargeable ones.
I also heard NiMH batteries are hard to charge, and theres a special way to charge them.
Thank you again!

Will this Battery Work?
Hello, I'm completely new to portabilizing and i've ordered the book which has not yet arrived. I think I understand the mAh of batteries, and I read that a C battery has about 8000 mAh. Is it possible to use this to run the portable SNES? I'm using the SNES mini and the PSone screen. Also, is there...

Re: New to Portablizing...
Oh cool. Thanks! I'm really excited for my book to ship (amazon says it'll be a while) but i'm going to start right away. One thing i'm unsure about is soldering and de-soldering though. Will the book explain that?

New to Portablizing...
Hello! I'm completely new to portabilizing, but i'm very interested. I've been a programmer for ages, and have a wide knowledge of computers, but this is new to me. I've been doing a lot of research on it the past few days, and decided to order the book by Ben Heck. I wanted to ask some questions th...
