would my batteries last longer if i ran the power through custom regulators, or the built-in one. Oh, and if it helps, i have the REV. C gamecube (dol-101)

Okay, problem. I tried running the n64 controller off batteries and connecting ONLY the middle data pin to the console. No good. Hooked up ground, and it worked fine. What should I do? Is it possible to get the controller data to the console with only ONE pin? If not, then this wireless project is ...
