What's the best Dremel for my project?
I'm baaaaaack!
But, nobody probably noticed. After about a year of school (and, frankly, procrastination) I have decided to continue my project.
That said, what's the cheapest type of Dremel that would do the stuff I'd need to hack up that motherboard with?

Re: Using camera batteries in a portable
Sounds good! I had a feeling there were no suitably-sized batteries out there. Now if only I could design that socket-to-portable charger...

Using camera batteries in a portable
Many people take apart li-ion camera batteries for their portables. Often they come in at about 7.3 volts, so it's just the right amount for certain things. However, why not just attach it on like it was supposed to be? (Without taking it apart?) It would be simpler to change batteries and have an e...

Re: CH FlightStick USB Mod Help/Worklog
Thanks, bicostp!
That also further justifies my impulse to add more buttons to it, so I might as well just add some in from the controller itself.
What controllers would you suggest? A cheap-o Logitech gamepad, perhaps?

CH FlightStick USB Mod Help/Worklog
So the Robotics team was throwing out some old junk one day and I happened to notice the old FlightStick they had was the same model I saw at Goodwill the other day. "Really?" one guy said, "You can have it then." The only problem is that there is no connector on the end, so it's practically useless...

Re: Newbie screen questions.
The PSOne screen is used a lot because it has contrast and brightness controls and has headphone jacks (besides being small). If you want something different, there is a list of screens commonly used for portablizing projects in the sticky at the top of this page. If you like one of them, use your f...

Re: Air64 Worklog
First of all, that would be a LOT of pins to connect I suppose you're saying that I should connect the separate serial port to the breakaway box, but that would make it a lot more bulky and defeat the purpose of just having the slave and the original console connected. And that would still be a lot...

Re: Air64 Worklog
I was , but ebay sellers have some pretty high prices. Anyway, I found one, and it should be at my house tomorrow. http://i46.tinypic.com/2ladb7q.jpg I might have to make two serial ports, because I am planning to (eventually) make a slave system with only video and a controller in it (for on-the-go...

Help on attaching grips
I'm planning to use some 360 controller grips and trigger/bumper controls on my Air64. How exactly (what tools and supplies) would I do that? I'm going to be vac-forming a case, if that clears anything up. EDIT: forgot to mention that by "grips" I mean everything from the bumpers back. Picture for c...
