i also have a problem with my fairchild channel f as it no longer turns on. I think it is broken power supply as nothing else seems to be wrong with it and the motherboard is spotless, but i have no idea how to get a new one

Well your going to have to make the custom regulator to use those ( u probly already knoiw that) and ud probably get about half an hour maybe less.

where can i buy all the parts to this? i know the regulators can be bought from the ti.com but all the resistors and the 110uf caps are not carried at radio shack. Now I'm thinking of doing a GCp because it seems much cooler an I already have 2 broken gamecubes. The only bad part is the info on how to do it isn't as direct as the N64 and there's no exact guides or tutorials.

Average Total Pricing?
I wanted to make a portable n64 until i found that they average around 250$ to make. I could buy a net book or a used ps3 for 250$ is there anyway to bring the pricing down a lot?
