Re: Stereo mod - which method?
It sounded like maybe you were building two amplifier circuits (one for each channel) based on the original NES amplifier circuit design, instead of leaving the original one on the board intact to handle one of the two channels and then building a second for the second channel? Oh LOL I see. Well, ...

Re: Stereo mod - which method?
I'm surprised you didn't use the already-existing circuit for one of the two channels by removing the mixing resistor. ??? the only circuit that I came across before now just mixed non amplified weak CPU audio channels 1 and 2 with amplified mono audio from the RF box. I don't really know what you ...

Re: Stereo mod - which method?
YAHEY!! It works... only done 1 circuit so far... Now the "white noise & triangle & sample channel" is AS LOUD as the NES mono sound, I can tell by putting mono from my NES's red audio socket through 1 channel on my HHB CDR 800 CD recorder analog input (sound goes to -6dB peak max when input is at m...

Re: NES stereo mod + amplification?
Topic revival LOL. I am just now finishing soldering up my first circuit which is using the whole of the components in the above schematic with the 74HCU04, and am going to try it on my NTSC revision 4 toaster NES. If it works I'll post more. EDIT: YAHEY!! It works... only done 1 circuit so far... N...

Re: My First Time Portablizing (Ps2)
Well my Official PlayStation S-Video cable arrived and WOW did it ever make a huge difference to the picture when used with my hard modded PSX (7502) that I mentioned above. Now it's very sharp, and completely noise and interference free, and doesn't have any sign of herringbone / diagonal lines on ...

Re: My First Time Portablizing (Ps2)
I wanted a big screen, so I ordered a 7 inch widescreen display. ( Ebay link ) its 480x234, and 30ms response time. So its not great, but you cant beat the price! It will be hooked up using composite video to prevent the green issue. I like the use of a large screen, sounds great. Let us know when ...

Re: Screens You CAN and CANNOT Use
So I would like to build a SNES portable later this year and would prefer a larger screen than the 5.25" PSOne screen. What are my options? I want to keep the 4:3 aspect ratio please, no widescreens. Basically I am after a bigger PSOne screen. Any intelligent suggestions?

Re: FC 16 Go internal pics -- First Commercial Snes Portable
Black and white picture happens because the unit switched over from NTSC color encoding at 3.58MHz color subcarrier frequency, with 525 lines at 59.97 (60) fields per second interlaced on the screen, to PAL colour encoding at 4.43MHz colour subcarrier frequency, with 625 lines at 50 fields per secon...

Re: BigBoy Advance - modded GBA project finished...
Can you tell me how you got the 3:2 aspect ratio in the 4:3 PSOne screen? Is your GBA Transverter set for "WIDEscreen" instead of "FULLscreen" ? I ask as there is a guy here that has also wired up a GBA Transverter using RGB but he gets the GBA output using the full height of the screen as well as f...

Re: GBC with 5" PSOne screen ?
Also now I know what happened to the Transverter... there was a lawsuit against them by the makers of the GBA TV card due to alleged copyright infringement so it was pulled and you can't buy them new because of this and that's why there are so few around. So looks like I have to find a GBA TV card t...

Re: GBC with 5" PSOne screen ?
OK it seems I have an answer, there are 2 modes on the Transverter board, Full screen or Wide screen, I think that Bacteria has it set to widescreen?

Re: GBC with 5" PSOne screen ?
What is wierd is that on his Transverter picture #7, the whole of the screen is filled, yet with Bacteria's mod, the GBA display output is a 3:2 letterbox out of the 4:3 screen. Can someone tell me why?
