Re: RRoD fix
I had a similar problem, I fixed an E74 by cutting the temp sensor trace and putting a quite fan in place, wiring it into the 12v rail on the power input.

Eyeclops Projector?
Okay, so I got a pair of these Eyeclops Miniprojectors - not great quality but I only spent a few bucks on them a pop. Any who, I am looking at this thing and wondering if I can turn them into some sort of wearable display. To do that I was curious to see if any one had a pinout of the board or if a...

Re: Pelteir in 360 water cooling systme?
I kinda thought I might have to use a heat sink and I've got quite a few of them laying around. My main concern is whether or not the plexiglass will crack under the cooling.

Pelteir in 360 water cooling systme?
So I am curious as to whether or not a 12v 60w Peltier unit will work in a water cooling rig in lieu of a radiator. I've got one on the way and have several projects in mind but wanted to know if 1) the power would be sufficient to operate the peltier, and 2) using plexiglass will I run into any iss...

Re: Iron Man 2 XBox 360 Suitcase?
Alright - I have a Kinect on order and should be in soon. It will be a repair job when I get it, simply because I got a steal on it for having some sort of error. I'm not sure as to what the error is, but I'll test it out on my main console before I go splicing the lines and connecting the the senso...

Re: PS3 80GB + PC in one case - concept question?
A (titanium?) partition of sorts in a case holding two separate motherboards could solve the cooling problem all together, or if your feeling epic - go with a mineral oil cooled rig. Mineral oil - not fryer or motor - is cheap and you can probably get a huge jug of it at Walmart or Target.

Re: Iron Man 2 XBox 360 Suitcase?
Im guessing the wiring i was using was faulty some where then or something fell off when i closed it back up - I made sure the solder points were good and clean so as to not have to buy a new motherboard.. Re: Iron Man 2 XBox 360 Suitcase?
I tried tapping right under the PSU but there was some feed back and the wires burnt them selves off. :-S I'll be looking into a few other sources for the LVDS controller if that's the case. whats the max amperage output on the Aux Header? EDIT: As promised here are some pics! http://i118.photobucke...

Re: Iron Man 2 XBox 360 Suitcase?
Thanks a bunch! I settled on tapping the Aux Header (J7G1) I did have to bridge two contacts to activate it and I'm using a small sized circuit board connected to the fans original molex connector to to connect to the motherboard as a means of making it modular of sorts. I'm hoping I can draw the sa...

Re: Iron Man 2 XBox 360 Suitcase?
Thanks for the info I'll move the fan over to one of the 12v rails. Which of the 3 rails would be suitable for the LVD controller?
Another thing I want to do is add in a second video connector but I'm not sure exactly where to find one.

Where would you recommend putting the larger fan then? I'm trying to avoid burning it or anything else out.

Iron Man 2 XBox 360 Suitcase?
So a few months back I wanted to an XBox 360 laptop, being jelous of all of the other ones I've seen. So the idea came to stuff it into a case that looks like the suitcase in Iron Man 2 (the one that turns into his armor). So far what I have done is started making a buck for vacuforming the the top ...

Re: Why does xbox get most of the hacks instead of ps3?
I would have to say its because you have to pay for live thus making it the most easily bannable console. Why not hack it?
