Re: Controller Compatibility Question
I know for sure that it's not official, as it doesn't have any labels on it. Just a blank box (I can see it from the pictures). I guess I'll have to go with the Retro-Bit option afterall. Is the Retro-Bit controller comfortable? It would be nice if someone could take this chance though. It has a ret...

Controller Compatibility Question
Would this controller clone have the potentiometer needed to be able to replace it with a gamecube joystick?: http://cgi.ebay.com/GRAY-CONTROLLER-GAME-SYSTEM-FOR-NINTENDO64-N64_W0QQitemZ180478998893QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games_Accessories?hash=item2a0562f96d I'd hope that the insides would fit in ...

Re: Does this stick mod look legit?
If you can use any, why don't you just use a gamecube controller instead of a weird N64 controller?

Re: Replace N64 joystick with Gamecube joystick
Thanks! Also, could someone make up a wiring diagram for connecting my c-stick to the retrobit controller. I've seen some around the forums, but it looks like my wires are bridged differently, so I'm confused. Thanks!

Re: Replace N64 joystick with Gamecube joystick
I have a 3rd party gamecube controller that I think could work. I'd use the c-stick if anything. I just need to know a few things. First, look at this picture of the back of the c-stick (it's a big picture): http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z161/popfan97/RSCN2722.jpg Would this be fine how it is, ...

Re: I need soldering help!
Wait. Which board are you talking about? Do I need to take the wire from the c-stick board or the main board? So do I need to have the c-stick board alone without a wire coming from it? Then I would need wire...

Re: I need soldering help!
Sorry. It's just that ToastBucket replied earlier that I didn't have to use a desoldering braid to desolder. oh well.

Re: I need soldering help!
Really though, how would I disconnect that wire without desoldering it? Which would require a desoldering braid.

BUT LOOKY HERE! http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z161/popfan97/3rd%20Party%20GC%20Controller/DSCN2643.jpg It's connected by those four bundled wires! How could I disconnect it without desoldering?! Btw. This post is really a must see for everyone here! It REALLY gets interesting at the 8th post! T...

Re: I need soldering help!
Wow! Thanks so much! That really helped! I just need to wait for my N64 controller to come in and I'm ready to go!
I would need a desoldering braid though to disconnect the c-stick right?
