If possible I would stick to nudging out the pins in the N64-end of the cable with a pair of pliers, yeah
And those pictures would be interesting to see if that's not too much trouble

Re: N64 component (aka YUV aka YPbPr) output
Aaaaha, so simple, yet so genious! Yeah, go ahead and butcher your cable, and just taking out the pin is probably the best way to go about it as well, considering how it may or may not be wired internally. This way you'll retain composite-compatability for the other systems, very nice;) Consider ope...

Re: N64 component (aka YUV aka YPbPr) output
Yeah, I've tried s-vid on my 64, very bad checkerboard-effect indeed :/ However, I'm not too sure the console itself is the problem, but rather the cables. If you have a multi-system cable, I'm led to believe that your cable isn't top-notch. I found this site explaining the checkerboard-effect and i...

Re: N64 component (aka YUV aka YPbPr) output
I've tried a similar setup. I got a PAL 64 with an rgb-DAC-mod and it looks very good on most of my tvs with scart input, however my main setup with a receiver and a projector doesn't have rgb inputs. So I ordered a pretty cheap rgb-component converter. Running it to my receiver upscales it and it w...

Re: GBA SP in a DS case
This looks really cool. Are you still planning on finishing it? I realize the last update was a while back, but you still appear to be relatively active on the forum... Thanks, and to answer your question; Yeah, absolutely! :P The reason I stopped is because the backlit SP I ordered to replace the ...

Re: Mass-produced GC-style N64 joystick replacements - $10.95
I've seen these around and they're apparently not too good. They don't emulate the "steps" of the original joystick correctly, giving you a much larger range than the N64 controller is used to. A guy called Micro over at the nfggames forums solved this problem however, by redesigning the circuit boa...

Custom Painted N64 Case
A while back I painted a N64 case just for fun to use up the last bit of spray I had left and the results turned out pretty awesome! :D I think this looks a bit to flashy to have on my console table setup and since I allready have a nice case that I'm using for my N64, this one is just sitting arou...

Re: Blargaman's portable GC
Nice, but for the love of God, tacts? I would really suggest cutting pieces from a gamecube controller, you can even use the original circuit board contacts and solder to them. It's fairly easy to get decent buttons this way. If not for all the buttons, at LEAST do this with A,B,X and Y, you will th...

Re: GBA SP in a DS case
Progmetalman pretty much got the idea, and seeing as I usually dont bring my gameboy whereever I go anyway, it's not a problem for me whatsoever and if I were to do that; a SP doesn't fit all to well in my pocket anyways ;) Maybe I'll get a micro... And by the by, I ordered a used, scratched and PIN...

Re: GBA SP in a DS case
I'm using something called steel-epoxy, made to repair metal and stuff so it's probably very strong Anyhow, what I did was not completely remove the plastic piece, but I trimmed it down and added the epoxy on top of it, so it's still in there, backed up with some hotglue from the inside

Re: GBA SP in a DS case
Yet another UPDATE Casework is finally finished! Again.. And hopefully for good this time  Had to remove the red piece of plastic which didn't work well with my paint (it made the plastic corrode or something :| ) and filled the hole with bondo instead. I am for the record VERY happy with the ...

Re: GBA SP in a DS case
Project is back on track, sorta. Still haven't gotten a backlit SP yet, but I'm trying to get the case redone and ready. I'll add a picture of the new design. 8) Had to do some tricky frankencasing, but it turned out good. One problem tho..I would really appreciate some help from someone well versed...

Re: Need N64 RGB modding service
Hi, if you want to get a pal console modded for rgb and are having trouble finding that french revision that supposedly is rgb-moddable, I can direct you to the forums on nfggames.com. Go to the rgb video section and have a look. With the help from some awesome guys on that forum I was able to succe...
