The charge load will hook up directly to the both the system and the charger's + and - terminals.

Re: the materials im getting for my first ps1p(are they good?)
Here's a thread about some buttons. You were asking about them earlier.

Re: the materials im getting for my first ps1p(are they good?)
I don't see why not. Of course the board they're on prolly does the same job. They look as though they're already wired together for 7.5 volts. It is just a bit larger but it looks like the extra size comes with some benefits. For example I see it has an LED or the far right corner. I would look on ...

Re: handy little power boards
I'm interested in one for my current project. Would need it within the next couple of months or so though. I'm pumping in 7.5v and need to drop to 3.3v for a 9000 series PS1 board. If it's more efficient then http://www.dimensionengineering.com/DE-SW033.htm which is 87% then I'm all over it. (course...

Re: battery question
it would seem to me that you want to wire your portable up to v+ and ground but ideally you should use a multimeter to find out which is giving off the 7.4v. as far as charging it, hopefully someone else can help :/ I think you'd want to wire up the charger and load to P+. At least that's what you ...

Re: the materials im getting for my first ps1p(are they good?)
I got a bag of 100 pushbuttons for 5 bucks from that local electronics store I mentioned. I'd look locally at any nearby electronic supply stores you might find in the yellow pages. The ones you linked look good to me.

Re: the materials im getting for my first ps1p(are they good?)
Just one resistor. Hook the resistor to the +5 volt output on the regulator. Hook all three + LED leads to the resistor's other end. Hook all three - LED leads to the ground point.

Re: the materials im getting for my first ps1p(are they good?)
Of the ones I posted the horse I'd prolly pick would be this one. It's defused, hopefully that's good. 2.5k mcd. And at only 91 cents a piece they are way cheap. If you go with this one and follow Ben's book on where to hook it up to the 5 volt power supply you'll need at least 5 Ohms of resistance....

Re: the materials im getting for my first ps1p(are they good?)
Oh, I see. As long as the purple LED is for the power indicator, analog indicator, or something similar then it should be OK. If you're doing an indicator light though you prolly wan't something with much lower mcd or mlm (Millicandela or 1/1000 lumen respectively. Whichever measurement you see they...

Re: the materials im getting for my first ps1p(are they good?)
Most of the stuff looks pretty good. I'm currently on my first project as well. A PS1P made from a 9000 series mo-bo. I've already done the led mod and what not, so though I may not know as much as some of these other guys I do have some experience under my belt. lol. First the screen. Don't drop $6...

Re: Making a ps1p. What should I get for the battery?
The batteries you posted are the ones I'm planning on getting. Should get a minimum of 3 hours. If you've not stumbled across it already here's a great guide to those batteries. Don't forget to get the protection circuit so they don't blow up in your face, lol.

Re: When chosing which Playstation one to buy
I'm currently working with the 9000 board. Took me some time to find these somewhere on the forum so I thought I might be able to save someone else the trouble by posting them here as well. http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/4383/ps1pinout.jpg From http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=33812&p...

NP man. Hope it helps. You'll have to tell me how yours turns out. I'm anxious to try this one out myself once I get done with my current mod.

Re: Mp4 player chip. Help needed
I'm not saying that this is impossible to resurrect. But from one NoOb to another I would shelve this project at least until I'd had some serious experience under my belt. Two things that catch my (granted untrained) eyes right off are... 1-LCD cracked and broken in several places. This poor thing m...
