Epoxy to fix "loose" orig N64 analog sticks?
I've heard somewhere that 2 part epoxy formula can be used to mold around the inner base of the josystick, and then filed off the excess with a metal file so that it fits just right. Everyone knows how the N64 sticks wear out over time, and they become loose in the center and lose some response. Has...

Re: how to get to sleep :(
Just keep your eyes closed and your entire body relaxed. Have it as dark as possible always when you get in your bed. Pretty common sense probably, but in case there's any lights. I find that starting on my back for a few minutes and then turning over onto my stomach is really comfortable.. usually ...

What does it mean when you can only move stick diagonally?
I rewired my gamecube stick in super pad 64 mod after cutting the traces and rewiring what I thought would be the right way... I have the x axis on top and y axis on the right (when looking at back of analog stick piece). I soldered the ground wire to the far right pin on top (x axis) and bridged to...

Cutting into the pcb traces on GC analog stick...
Sorry for bugging you again with stupid noob questions... I don't know what else to do because I haven't found a guide online with pictures and every little detail for dummies like me. I'm doing the GC analog stick (c stick) mod on my Super Pad 64, the big model (by perforamce). I wired it up and wa...

Re: Getting stripped screws out.....
Thanks for the replies. I don't think I'm gonna use a soldering iron to try getting to it, since it's such a small place. I don't want to risk melting any plastic; I'm pretty good with with my hands, but they're a little shaky working with small/precise tasks. I think I'm just gonna take a drill bit...

Re: What am I doing wrong??? =/
So, do I need to wire it the same way it was on the 64 superpad, or how you said in your post?
The way I did it (pic above) is with the bottom being the x axis and left is y axis. Are you sure they have to be the other way around? And do I have the red wires connected to the right pins?

Re: What am I doing wrong??? =/
So, the red wires are wired correctly, but I have the X and Y middle wires both on wrong side? I didn't know the the x and y axes had to be flipped.. that's just the way it is? And from what I understand, I have my main ground wire on the wrong side. It should be going to the other pin first, opposi...

So I recently re-soldered the wires for my gamecube stick in SuperPad 64 controller mod. Again, it didn't work. I followed the original wiring of the controller and a suggestion on here that the X-axis has to be on top for it to work... http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a11/CubsOwnTheSox/100_1706.jpg...

Re: Getting stripped screws out.....
Well the screw is prolly regular depth.. idk. I must have not pressed hard enough when I was originally trying to get it out - the screw head is completely stripped

Getting stripped screws out.....
Anyone ever removed stripped screws from plastic? If so, how did you go about it? I was taking all the screws out of one of my n64 original controllers so I could clean/lube the joystick, and the last screw (one of the small screws in the controller pak area) I couldn't get out. For some reason it w...

   That site is such a waste of time. People claim it's "legit" just because they've heard of very few people actually winning big prizes, like a Nintendo Wii or something. I've gone on this site and can see that the prizes are always out of stock. Maybe 1 person every couple month...

Re: So I go to test my mod, and my N64 broke =_=
Interesting. I don't know how I could have wired it wrong, I followed how the original superpad was wired to the pots and put the x axis on top like Toast said since he did this mod with the same controller and said it needed to be on top. When you say a ground and power wire is crossed, what exactl...

So I go to test my mod, and my N64 broke =_=
I'm working on putting a GC control stick into a super pad 64. I wired up the GC stick board onto it, and I plug it in and go to test it, and my N64 shuts off right away after I turn it on. It was plugged in to an outlet splitter, so then I tried plugging straight into the wall. It turned on for a s...

Re: SuperPad 64 joystick mod. Gamecube stick inside :)
Alright sweet. Thanks for the info Toast. I'll probably go return this broken controller I got and hopefully pick one up tomorrow. The hardest part is probably going to be figuring out how to mount it all on the back side of the controller and to get the Z button in place; since those gamecube joyst...
