Re: 1st player port/internal controller selector switch

Switch on Power rather than data means the controller won't waste power, but it's probably minimal.

I dont think you would need any kind of special switch. Just use a slider or toggle that has 3 pins and not 2 (So you can hook both up)

Re: N64 Questions for portable...

Aww man It ruined my perfectly spaced text....it should show a square chunk of n64 case going into screen mount... Oh and I had a mistake about the cartridge thing...don't know what I was thinking with wiring one in, unless you had an sram 1 of course, but i still think that you can get 50-pin conne...

Re: N64 Questions for portable...

Okay, just a couple of things... 1. I don't want the screen connected to the n64, I want it to clip on like it currently does with the gamecube, something like this. --------- | Screen| --------- Clips and Hinge ----| |---- | N64 | ------------------ The mempak slot could be mounted under the screen...

Re: One Special Project for N64 (Not a portable) - New Case!!!

3 problems I see: 1: no need for a fan, so you can use this as room for the others. 2: As stated above, cords need to be VERY short. 3: Controller to usb is (practicalyy) impossible for system itself....not just some rewiring but a microcontroller and stuff too.... Since there is no need for the fan...

Re: how to dissable pal n64 lockout chip

From what i can see, though, it looks like you'll have to do at least that anyway(tabs in bottom left and right missing on pal version) try it after that. easy fix if you can open security screws.

Re: how to dissable pal n64 lockout chip

Well, I know the way for japan to us is to completely remove the shutters and plastic for cartridge, but i think pal is different. worth a try though.

Re: N64 Questions for portable...

Oh, btw my dad says that the cartridge connector looks like a standard type, so it should be possible to get a right angle connector for it.

N64 Questions for portable...

I want to make a portable N64. as far as I can tell, I have everything I need: GC 5" screen N64 7.2 V Ni-mh from portable dvd player. Vacuum foriming table in process (hopefully) I just had a couple of Ideas for simplified production, and I want a reality check. 1. Instead of rewiring the cartridge ...

Re: Portable Desktop PC

I hope I'm not reviving a dead thread...it's only a month old though, so I'll chance it. Why not have the lcd mounted into the side of the case, like a tablet? you could have a cover that removes, with the keyboard mounted into it, and a possible touchpad/mouse or even a touchscreen! however, touchs...

Re: Any way to SD card mod an n64?

just one thing I wanted to say...there is an easy way to make that switch you're talking about. There are many switches that can take two inputs and outputs. If you could get ahlod of one of those, that would work perfectly as a switch for the overclocking bit. Just one thing to note, the switch mus...
