Thanks guys! it appears this was no easy job, so I ended up spending 50eur on eBay and got my self a French system that is already RGB modded :mrgreen:

PAL N64 with DENC-NUS encoder & VDC-NUS chip: size differs?!

Hiya!!! EDIT: I have edited the title, since I have concluded that Joyport1 has problematic A+B buttons. I have opened my multimega , and I see nothing wrong visually, I was hinted that maybe a cap is charging/discharging and that buttons A+B are controlled by the same logic... some pics I took are here: h...

Replace video encoder chip in PAL n64 to make it rgb ok?

Hello!!!! I have a PAL n64 console , with a video encoder chip that cannot be rgb-modded. I also have from eBay (bought it ~1 year ago) a VDC-NUS A BU9801F chip , that can be modded for rgb AFAIK. Can I replace the chip on my mobo with the NUS A one and make a succesfull rgb mod? Thanks for any info...
