Re: 3.5" TFT
I'm having a similar issue with a 3.5 that I bought off ebay. While it does bother me, it isn't really preventing any gameplay. (Even though I love watching intros!)

Re: intec gamecube screen audio amp separation?
Nevermind! With about an hour or so of trying to map circuits I finally said "eff this" and just cut the board all the way through. The part you will want to keep has the headphone jack (the larger one), the 7805, speakers, volume + contrast dials, power input, and screen input/output. On the unders...

intec gamecube screen audio amp separation?
So I was going to use that crappy gamecube intec screen for a REALLY cheapy portable, but I've ruined the screen. :P I'm sure the audio amp is still useful though. Albeit a bit bulky, but there lies my question. Which components on the board can I cut off or bypass? Those large resistors perhaps cou...

Re: GBA LCD FFC Extender?
Alright I'm pretty sure it's .5mm pitch.
Thinking about using these parts. Any comments?
HFJ132DKR-ND
HFF-36U-05-ND (Has 36 connections but I'm guessing a sharp new exacto blade might be able to persuade it to be otherwise.)
From digikey of course. Can't find comparable components on mouser.

Yeah I was mainly just wondering if the revision mattered, and since the numbers/letters were written in the opposite direction, which points to solder to.

Re: Overclocking your GBA
So I noticed that my gba has the can style crystal already in it, instead of the kds black rectangle crystal. On the top it says D419G3I but in the opposite direction that the kds crystal is written in. Also that smaller chip isn't even near the crystal, just a blank spot. Can this mod still work? I...

I'm guessing this would be similar to the gamecube fcc extension mod for the cd drive.

Re: dreamcast gd-rom revisions/ compatibilities?
I was trying to avoid the swap trick. :3 Just not portable friendly having to carry around a separate disk!
But I think I found that revision 2 made before october 2000 is what I'm looking for. I was just looking for a second confirmation.

GBA LCD FFC Extender?
Doing a recase mod with a GBA but in order to do it, I need to extend the ffc. Anyone know the pitch of the cable so I can do a manual search for one, or does anyone feel super nice and have a link? It doesn't need to be super long, but long enough to wrap up like the one in the ds does (phat I thin...

WTB/T for clear/crystal controller buttons & joystick
So I thought it'd be nice to have a nearly completely clear portable, the only parts not being clear would be the screen and main mobo. But a piece or two that I'm wanting clear just seems a tad overpriced or just plain hard to find. Clear thumbstick/joystick/analog stick. Found two different seller...

Re: The definitive 3.5" Lcd review
Whats is the Amperage rating on your power source? I think that's the same dealer i got mine from and it runs on 5V just fine. +5V and 2.5A. I've also tried batteries (4AA rechargeable) and a psone adapter, since the page says it's rated for 12V. Both adapters are DC and I did check to see which pa...

NUS-CPU-04 NS170611204 Evidently, I was avoiding sixes that day. Not a prob. I also have a clear pink one NUS-CPU-08-1 NS291430616 (So close to beating that record!) Thanks very much, I have added both serials to the list :D You still hold the record for the highest US serial with your other N64 co...

Re: nes/snes retro duo! pics, review, hacking info 7/27/10
Which direction does the capacitor face on the controller board? I can tell how the one on the power switch is located from the pictures but I can't make out the controller board capacitor from the pics. (not close enough) I'm sure I fried mine from soldering it in the wrong way... Edit: I'm dumb, ...
