Mini gamecube controller? (Or ps2, xbox)
Does everyone generally use a standard gamecube controller? I was just wondering. I would think the intec mini or mad katz micron controllers would be an excellent fit for portablizing. But on another note... I was thinking of just that and decided to search ebay for the tiny buggers when I happened...

Re: Game's first snes portable project
Thankies. I've seen the stuff before but the package didn't quite say it was for plastic or not.

Re: Game's first snes portable project
I did it! I'll post up pics and maybe a movie. Here's what you've got to do. Ever open up one of those plug-n-play games? Right before they cables exit the system they have a ceramic magnet that they are looped in. That's all you have to do! I pulled a very small one from a sega genesis v1 board and...

Re: Game's first snes portable project
I think there might be two versions of my screen. Mine is the one with the chips scraped so you don't know what they are.
I'll try adding a capacitor to the line or something to level the signal out. That's how I fixed the bass distortion. Now I can pump it up as loud as I want.

Re: The definitive 3.5" Lcd review
I bought number three. thewise1 might find this of interest. I was messing around with my screen trying to test things, see how it hooked up to my console, then I started to have a grounding problem. For half a second between blips I saw a menu for brightness, contrast, etc. Perhaps you could try to...

Re: Game's first snes portable project
Found the issue. Evidently one of the wires is broken inside. Without a multimeter, that'll take time to find, so I'll just replace them all. Glad to know nothing is fried. I'm almost done except for the case! Rewired controller, both the hub thing and the internal controller. All work. Now I've not...

Re: Game's first snes portable project
Everything is working fine so far besides the controller... I still have the controller board connected, I just extended the cable to about 5 inches. I thought that I might have wired the controller wrong (since my retro duo controller has different colored wires, the only clear ones being vcc and g...

Wireless Dreamcast Controller. What would I need?
I'm wanting to make a wireless dreamcast controller. I read somewhere the controller requires 5v. So that should be attainable with 4 AAs or AAAs. Easily stuffed inside the grips. And I'll need a transmitter/reciever set and a chip of some sort I'm guessing as well? But this would be the first time ...

I've found another NAOC. This time inside of a penguin. And it comes with a wireless controller.

Re: Lithium Polymer Batteries -- How to wire and what to buy.
I'm gonna ask a very dumb/noobish question, but it's only because I'm kinda fuzzy on terminology, and something on my portable isn't working right depending on how I have it wired, leading me to ask.
On the "charge load", is there where both the charger AND system connect to or just one of them?

Re: The perfect amplifier/speakers to go with your small screen.
I removed the power on button for these speakers (Got 2 for $8.15 each). But when I bridged the connection together, no sound. I disconnected the solder and then remade the connection while it was on and the speakers came on. Is there a way to bypass this?
