it would be, but you would get very little playtime out of it, before having to change batteries. In other words, find a different solution.

Re: Starting my own N64p
Psone screens aren't "relatively cheap", they're a good price for what they're worth, but there are many usable screens out there that are about the same price. Psone screens are a good side for a portable (5"), and with that good size, it comes with a pretty small circuit board, that is moddable, a...

Re: Cart emulator progress thread
That's how the mario kart game/n64 is. It has nothing to do with the 64drive.

Re: Can I strip the original n64 composite cord from the n64 and
that doesn't really make a difference because the composite signal lines are so thin to begin with and i don't remember how much voltage they carry but it's like a volt, maybe less.
usually the place in portables where you need to worry about the proper gauge of wire is with the power wires.

Re: Ipod(no touch screen) into cassette adapter
Yeah, have you ever had one of those things, there is very little internal electronics inside that cassette-shapped piece of plastic, a small enough mp3 player could fit in one.
Re: DSboy
Of course it's possible. Possible to take the internals of the DS, and recase it? I have never seen it (because why would you want that, really), but sure, it's possible.

Re: No picture on screen from N64
I missed your question. Some crazy stuff going on with those wires. My suggestion is to try to isolate the problem. To do this you could do one of two things: 1. hook your n64 up to a regular tv, if it works, then it is not an n64 problem 2. hook something that you haven't hacked up yet to the psone...

Re: rewiring game port
You can.
I don't know about tougher and more reliable connection though. If you can solder, and you do it right, soldering to those pins will be as good a connection as any.
