Re: Spambots and Forum Settings
FYI, its not just spambots. A lot of the spam on larger forums is done by actual humans in China, India, Pakistan, and the like. You can change all the phpBB settings you want, but it's near impossible to keep them out. If you set up the .htaccess to disallow those entire countries you can get rid o...

I've said it before and I'll say it again, absolutely amazing work here Ashen. Glad to finally see the product of your hard work.

Re: x360key announced (360 DVD drive emulation)
Careful, the post from nightowl is a link to a scam site, also doesn't a jtagged xbox 360 does the same thing this xkey will do? I mean you can't play on live with either. Or am I wrong? Yes, but this can be used with Slims, while JTAGing can't. Plus, this will be able to be used on Live, we just d...

Isn't this game South Korea only right now? And don't you need to somehow obtain a South Korean SSN to play it?

Re: PlayStation Network BACK ONLINE!
You have absolutely no proof. Anonymous denied the attacks themselves, and like I said, if they did it they wouldn't be afraid to take credit and go public with their motives like they always do. Apparently, the European portion of the database, including credit card numbers, was put up for auction ...

Re: PlayStation Network BACK ONLINE!
No, if you would have looked around, you would have seen it has nothing to do with Anonymous or Geohot. Anonymous doesn't really do crap like this, and they always take credit for their work. This had to be someone or a group of people that knew what they were doing. Either way, Sony's crap security...

x360key announced (360 DVD drive emulation)

Re: Nintendo Wii Autoboot?
You can get Bootmii to load at startup and then go to the homebrew channel from there, or alternatively you can use something like Priiloader to load your backup launcher directly at startup.

Seems like a couple of people are getting re-banned. Could be temporary or intentional, we'll have to see.

Re: Slim backwards compatible
Older PS3s supported BC with PS2 games pretty much completely through hardware, Sony then removed the EE from the PS3 to lower costs and subsequent models played PS2 games by using a mix of a software emulator and the PS2's GPU hardware (as far as I remember anyway). Sony then made another revision ...

Re: Safe 360 modding?
I'm not misleading anybody, I'm simply stating the facts. Like I said, there is no guarantee and its a risk you have to be willing to take because no one knows what future security may or may not be implemented. However, I did state what is currently known at this moment in time, and nothing points ...
