Re: NES repair attempt = fail

after about 8 attempted projects of my own almost all I've managed to do is amass a pile of broken game consoles and machinery, and also sink a few hundred dollars over about two years. But its some of the most fun I've ever had, don't give up.

Re: Fimo-clay

I noticed them compare it to Sculpey clay. If it's anything like Sculpey then it won't work at all. It would be incredibly brittle.
If not then apparently everyone should get some FIMO.

Re: RROD fix

I once had an xbox with RROD that already had been 'fixed' by removing the x-clamps. I simply re-applied the thermal compound and slapped it all back together. It worked for about two weeks and died again. At that point I sold it. The whole, 'replacing x-clamps with the screws' thing isn't really a ...

Re: XBOX 360 Laptop

just throwing this out there, 360's have been hacked to run games directly off the hard drive, no disc is even required for verification, and any hard drive can be used, this means if you can find a 2tb sata hdd that fits, you can use it. I've done this to one of my 360's it's pretty sweet, I can m...

Re: SCREEN ON EBAY ENDING IN 20 MINUTES NO BIDS!!!

every single one of those goes for right around $30. I've been watching them for a while and the price and shipping always adds up to be about the same. Don't be fooled by Ebay's nasty little tricks. However I can't say that they wouldn't be good little screens at that price...

Re: Custom Snesp Case

That looks pretty good. Although I'm pretty sure that I read somewhere in these forums that if you ask polycase to cut holes for you it adds a LOT of money to the price. But if I'm wrong then be sure to correct me because I'm terrible at cutting out button holes... p.s. why did you give them measure...

Re: Is there no Introduce Yourself Thread?

This may be a better way for new people to start up on this forum than telling us how they're going to make a sweet xbox360 laptop or ask a ridiculous question that's already in a sticky (one of my favorite past times...) So yeah, good idea Knux. p.s. Hey, Life of Brian, did you or are you currently...

Re: suggestions for a decent (cheap) computer

um... no snowpenguin, why would I just emulate N64? It would just be a pc in an N64 shell... but with the original ports hooked up to an adapter so original controllers could be used.

Re: suggestions for a decent (cheap) computer

well my idea was to basically make the NES pc, except with an N64 shell. unfortunately for newegg I wasn't nearly serious enough about this project to shell out 200+ dollars.
Thanks for the information though!

suggestions for a decent (cheap) computer

I'm looking for a decent computer for not so much money that can handle at least PJ64 (and handle it well). do you think that this would work? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270461920056&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; if not, what else and...
