* windows user or working windows emulator for another OS
* PC with usb 1.0 or faster.
* gc with qoob pro modchip installed properly
* winrar
* some custom 640x480 images for mod your qoob (I tested with .jpg and .bmp and works fine)
* be a human

well,first of all download this pack
DOWNLOAD
then extract the content at c:\ (I preconfigured the pack to work from that location, if you extract it to another place do it at your own risk.
after extract the pack run TMPGEnc.exe (c:\TMPGenc\TMPGEnc.exe if you extracted it correctly)

it should be like the picture, check the paths , and select "ES video only", then click on load.
select qoobBackground.mcf template and click ok, very hard for you?
then browse a image to load,(remember it must be 640x480 !!!,tested with bmp, and jpg)
and open it
the image should be loaded fine, before click "start" buttom make sure the output path is at the QOOB_BACKGROUNDS folder, this should help to keep things cleaner. when ready click start and don´t be scared.
I added two example images and converted files to the pack, but you can use your own one ;P
cool! you has been converted your image into a .m1v file wich is compatible with qoob, congratulations soldier! but wait, we didn´t finished, we need flash it to the qoob, correct?
well, its time to search that black and dirty usb cable, where the *** is it?, oh i found it, it is at the kitchen, Wtf...
now plug the usb cable to pc, and then to your custom gc or a gamecube with qoob installed (the gamecube MUST be off before connect the usb cable), those photos has been take to a gamecube portable project, so obiusly the usb conector differ from your cube, but it should work same
when the qoob led of the programer is turned on (the default led is small and green) all should be ready to start pc software:
go to the "C:\TMPGEnc\BIOS + Programer" folder and run qoob-13-h1.0.exe
(note: custom backgrounds works great with qoob bios 1.3c wich is included at the same folder that qoob-13-h1.0.exe)
well this is the qoob programer interface, all you should to do is click on connect. hard?
nice, you are connected to the qoob, (if you are unable to connect, try replug the usb cable or use another usb conector from pc side).
when ready click at "write" and select your custom m1v file, remember set "bootlogo *.mvi *.m1v *.mpg" at the "open file window", then select your ugly file and click open.
then select a free block to flash your file, if your qoob is full and dont have enough space for it, delete some crap and try again.
after select the free block, the qoob flashing process will start. DONT DISCONNECT USB THE CABLE or you will get a corrupt/incomplete file, and you may broke your qoob, and belibe me, qoob pro is no longer selled, so you will have a serious problem.
when the flashing is done, click on disconnect (is important you click disconnect, qoob may get damaged if not removed properly,take care this smart modchip HELL!)
then carefully disconnect the usb cable and wait the led turn off.
nice, your qoob is flashed properly, now lets go, connect the gamecube to the tv,power suply, controllers,memcards...ect.
before turn on the gamecube , get the controller n1, and hold the b buttom,then,turn on the gamecube with the b buttom hold and wait the qoob menu appears.
nice!, now select options, (yes you can relase b buttom lol
now select your custom qoob logo (it will get the name of the file you flashed):
note: only qoob 1.3c have background selection, may 1.3b and others have this addon, but Don´t sure, 1.3c also have better media support and new features.
after selected your background select store settings, when the config is saved, you can reset the gamecube, your new background will be on!

congratulations soldier!, your gamecube is a little more tunned.
nice job, and enjoy your earned experience and your precious qoob gamecube
