Nope, there aren't any N64 controllers with 2 joysticks. You could put a joystick on top of the C buttons so that it would be like replacing it with a joystick, but other than that, not really. No you can't use a PS controller on an N64. You could gut it and an N64 controller and try to stuff the guts of the N64 controller inside the PS shell, but I doubt there is enough room. There is definitely not without some major controller board hacking. Why do you want 2 joysticks? Just to look cool? 8)

Actually, there is an N64 controller with dual-joysticks.

You can't use both at once though, no surprise.

YAY found pictures!

There's something sexy about the nyko controller. I want it.
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

i've been considering building one. It would plug into two controller ports but only one casing. It would be great for games like Goldeneye and Perfect dark where you're given dual-controller options.

A few games could allow one person to use multiple controllers...

Not many though.
One game, Robotron 64, allowed one player to use two controllers to control an avatar. This way the game played like its predecessor, Robotron 2084. Star Wars Episode 1: Racer, GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark also used this set up for slightly different gameplay experiences (in terms of control, at least) compared to the standard single controller option.

one controller in each hand. was pretty clumsy and difficult since there was really only one button per controller that could be reached easily. That's why I kinda want to make a dual-controller mod some time. Maybe in something like a gamecube controller ( You should only need one set of buttons, I think. cut out the redundancies and I would expect that would allow you to reduce the footprint and fit it into a controller meant for dual analogs.

Its still not true to modern dual-analog accuracy because--and I'm not sure if you remember this-- in goldeneye and perfect dark, the gun did not remain stationary pointing to the center of the screen. when you moved the joystick, the aimer moved as well. so playing those games with dual analogs is still not gonna be as good as it could be, but its still an improvement.

If I remember correctly, as long as you keep moving the aiming joystick (or C-buttons in 1 controller mode) the view would not level out again. A bit of a pain but this is still a really interesting idea.
I actually wasn't talking about self-leveling. that's not really a big problem (I use a dual analog setup on an emulator).
Let me see if I can better describe the problem I'm thinking of. Okay, so have you played a FPS on the Wii? you know how you you aim the gun within the screen AND turn/look with the same control? Its kinda like that in goldeneye, not very good for a dual analog setup. if you try to turn left, the gun aims at the left side of the screen instead of aiming at the center of the screen while you turn.

Look into the Razor X from Acidmods, which essentially makes a dual analog out of the Face buttons on PSP. The same product (probably) can be used to turn the C-Stick buttons into a second N64 analog.

The key word being probably. It might only work with a PSP nub. no idea.
