The LED mod is in Ben's book, which you better buy, and you can find the mod here.

I just read that the old PS2 draws about 1.7A, and the screen draws about 350mA. You will need a 7808 for the screen to work with 12V. Total draw will be about 2.1A.

For GBA screen, read this.

And also, I'll assume the slimline uses 1.7A also

The slimline is 1.9A according to Gamelver.

So 1.9A+350mA=2.25A so Im gonna need a 12v~(at least)4500mA battery...

and another question...sorry for my ingnorance... but what is a 7808?

Yes, a battery with those specifications will power your system for about 2 hours.

A 7808 is a regulator that drops the voltage to 8V. You need it because the PS1 screen can't take over 9V.

Unless you can get your PS2 to run on less than 12V, you need a 12V battery, or you will have to make an AC convertor and step-up transformer. Also, if you are thinking of a standard 9V battery, that is not going to work, because I have never seen one over 1Ah.
