PS2Freebootportable Battery volts and adjustable regulator?

Post by Gamerlolwind51649 » Wed Oct 19, 2011 12:09 pm

Hay everybody!
I'm working fine on my ps2freeboot potable,
i ordered my battery from amazon.com, an 9v 5400mah li ion.

when i ordered it the information before i ordered it was different, now i checked the info and it has changed the pic is different, the battery says 5400 mah, 9v.
when i receive the battery i'l clarafy the correct info.

http://www.amazon.com/UL-DVDL-Lithium-U ... 359&sr=8-1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

i was reading information about the battery specs for the ps2.
my ps2 is SCH 7704 V something.

when i took my ps2/av cable/screen/controller in a box so i can put everything together when my battery arrives, i also took the ac adapter, it said on the back that the output it gives is 8.5v at 5.65A.

i also read that using a 9v is okay but can shorter your ps2's life.

i have an adjustable regulator that i supposedly got from my ZCP but i changed my design and i won't be needing it.
um, i can use it to reg the volts of the dvd battery to 8.5v for the ps2, will it work?

my regulator info:

hay everybody, i got my battery today and it's a 5400 mah, but 7.2v and has 38wh.
um, i have my reg that can be used to adjust the output voltiage to what i need it for.
5400mah is good, but i can/can't change the voltage to 8.5v?
7.2v to 8.5v?
can i do this and how do i solder my reg to the battery?

i also have the prone screen tip, i have the thin adapter tips that come with the battery, um, the thin C tip goes into the ps2 power jack but not all the way in, will it work or do i have to use my prone jack and what points do i solder from it to the reg?

i'll post pics, soon.

There is some circuitry you can buy to increase the voltage. However, it lowers the mAh dramatically.

You should have got a higher voltage battery and dropped it instead.
