forgive me, but the PSP really didn't have that many great games. .
That though IS the reason it is not a raging sucess.

The success or failure of this system will be games. They surely by now must realize that the primary reason for the success of the DS is that the games are not console-type epics that take dozens of hours to beat. It is the type of games that you pick up to play for a few minutes (and as often as not, realize you've been playing so long that your neck is cramping).
Also, children.
I agree ALMOST completely. But I think massive games on the NGP will be very important to its success. I think the DS managed to balance well with casual and hard core audiences (dont forget that it did have some larger games like Mario 64, castlevania, and other nintendo classics). The NGP is clearly making a stance for the hard core gamers. Not a bad idea. With the 3G, Call of Duty, and inevitable add-ons and perks, the casual gamers might be just as satisfied.
From the lineup I've seen, games won't be an issue at all. On the other hand, what I think will "make or break" this system is the price.
oh, and this system won't be for children. At all.
