I finally finished my portable NES. I call it the Entertain Boy. It has stereo sound, which is perfectly amplified by a 74hcu04 hex inverter.

Awesome work! The matching power adapter is a great touch. Definitely something to be proud of. :)

I never posted this yet, but I love this system.

The matching charger is amazing. I'll have to remember that.

How did you do the power adaptor. Is that a PS1 power supply? Pinout please.

@Hifeno: That is a PS1 power supply. The model Playstation I used was an SCPH-9000, but it's probably similar for the other board revisions.

Here is the pinout for the 5 pins that go to the Playstation:
Code:
Back (plug side)

{}-Reset (for Playstation)
{}-Ground
{}-3.5v
{}-Ground
{}-7.5-8v

Front (led side)

The power switch on the front can be desoldered and bypassed by connecting the 2 left vias to the 2 right vias:
Code:
{}---{}
{}---{}

The green power led can be replaced, also. From the front, the left pin is V+ and the right is ground.

Looks slick! The metal trim does the trick.
