Where do you get that super-thin Kynar stuff?

It's also known as wrapping wire, and you can get it from RadioShack in red or blue. I recommend it for projects with limited space, but it needs to be for low current stuff because it's so thin. I like using it for controllers.

Bacteria, it was the main board for the NOAC that died on me. Everything else is fine, though.

Hey, what NOAC did you use? It looks like it has some pretty decent games.

It's the Super Joy III. The original system looks like a cheap ripoff N64 controller, except the joystick doesn't even move, it has a player 2 jack, and a battery compartment (that's too small for AA's but too big for AAA's) where the memory card would go

I used to have one of these, this was before i started hacking, the batteries never fitted right, I barely played it and then the video port off the controller broke. i threw it away like a year ago (i think)

I have one of those too, (I plan on making a NES portable as well, but I'm going all out with a cartridge slot and a PS1 screen and everything. It's still an NES, just condensed, so why not?). I've never had any size issues with the battery pack, though. In fact, I was planning on using it on the portable if If I could get it to work with the screen.

My cousin has one of those. Maybe I'll buy it off of him; he might be inclined to let it go if I tell him I'm gonna make something cool out of it.

I still have you're Fugtendo. XD It may not be the best looking portable, but it gets the job (Playing hundreds of classic NES games portably) done.

I killed three NOAC's on the long road to finishing that one, frankO Image

You would think I'm used to killing beloved electronics by now, but it's still a surprise each time. I don't intentionally kill them... Let's see, I've got four fried NOACs, a non-responsive GameCube, an Atari 2600, and a Retro Duo on my hit list. I've never lost an SNES, however, even from my early days of learning electronics and I was following Ben's backwards power diagram from his book. I thought my first one was dead for a long time, until I learned to use a multimeter and check connections for myself. I've also never lost a PSOne, no matter how much I abuse them. As for screens, I think I've killed a couple of Hip Gear screens and an Intec screen. I've never lost a PSOne/Zenith screen, however, and I managed to salvage that Zate screen I'm using for this NOAC portable by my nifty LED mod.

MURDERER!! LOL Just kidding! I too have killed things...mostly deer, but I did kill a PS1 screen once...not sure how tho. I fell off my desk, and landed on soft carpet. Somehow, that cracked the whole thing in half! :?

However, I haven't fried anything yet. Buuuuuuut, it's only a matter of time before that happens. Knowing my luck, I'll fry my current project the day before the MGC....

Just checking to make sure I'm not losing my mind - what is the max voltage for a Super Joy III?

Does it have a 7805 like my superjoy 1? If it does, then that's pretty obvious.
