Hey all, I figured I'd start my ongoing WIP topic now that I finally got around to ordering some of the parts.

I just bought 4 Zenith PS2 screens on eBay for $125 w/ free shipping:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=400020124398
(check it out for as long as the link works... seemed like a good deal, so hopefully I bought the right stuff lol)

I'll try finding some n64's/controllers this weekend. I also don't own a camera, just the crappy old one on my phone, so pictures will be limited unless I can get a hold of one of my roommate's.

I probably won't update this very often, as classes start the 20th and I'm usually fairly preoccupied with those. But anyways... I'm excited to finally start working on one of these things :)

Haha idk, I think I'm going to use them all... depends on how well this first N64p turns out.

my only advise, don't procrastinate :!: :!: :!: I'm serious, I've wasted so much time on these forums that I could have been working on my portable. and read everything.

I think we should check to see if you can withstand 220 volts

It's not so much procrastinating as it will be handling schoolwork... I'll have to see how heavy my workload is this semester. I'm also waiting on parts at the moment... although I should probably try to find the others soon.

What's the best kind of de-soldering tool to get? And where from?
I've never used one before, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out :)

Does it have a name or type I should look for, or should I easily recognize it from the "red bulb"?

It's hanging right above their normal soldering iron, and it's the only kind they carry.

You can't miss it. The red bulb is big and honkin' red.
