xbox 360 laptop help

Post by Sherek300 »

hi everyone, I just stumbled upon this site a few days ago, and i think this is basically the coolest thing ever. and i want to make an xbox 360 laptop really bad. so, i have been reading through the walkthroughs and looking at the forums of other people that want to make them, unfortunately, I have no experience and dont know that much, so im way lost and dont understand a lot of stuff. anybody think they could help me or suggest some reading that may help me understand some of the technical aspects a little better so i might be able to do this? any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you don't know much about electronics and computers and how they work I would suggest starting on something more simple, or you will be getting in over your head. My xbox 360 laptop project was one of the hardest things I have done yet, and I have a degree in electronics and computers. It was my first game console project, but I have a lot of knowledge for computers and electronics. Work on a bunch of smaller easier projects and you will learn a lot about how all the electronics work then you will be ready. Also practice your soldering skills on a scrap board. Hope this helps

A ps2 laptop would be a good place to start. I started as my first project to build a atouomus robot using my own electronics. So i jumped ahead a bit.
