Myself, and 4 others are going to be staying awake for 48 hours straight. The reason why were doing this is to help raise money and awareness for a charity called ChildsPlay. (
http://www.childsplaycharity.com). (This is starting tuesday at midnight and going to thursday at midnight)
ChildsPlay donates money and games to various childrens hospitals world wide around this time in the season. I was in and out of hospitals when I was a kid, and I know what its like to lose some of your child hood. (I want kids whether theyre sick or not, have a childhood full of fun and laughter.)
We're going to be setting up a 48 hour long live stream of this on ustream. (Possibly stickam also).
Once this is all set up, there will be a donation link (connected right to ChildsPlay's paypal.) and a text-to-donate number that people can text to donate some money. (There will be a ChipIN widget too. ChipIN allows me to track how much money we have raised for the charity.)
I'd really appreciate it, if you guys could donate just a small ammount of money to the charity. Doesn't have to be a lot. Even $1 makes a difference. Some of these kids don't even get a christmas, emotionally and physically.
