Still no second analog, and ARM processor means any compatability would be emulation of the PSP MIPS processor, if I'm not mistaken. Micro SD card seems the only improvement.

Touchpad in the middle looks like its supposed to be the dual analogs.

Will this run PSP2 games or games specifically designed for it? Weird that Sony would release a device to compete against it's own PSP2, and this does seem to have the hike in technology from the PSP to deem it its successor, so maybe this will be like the iPhone and the PSP2 will be like the iPod Touch, same bssic specs but without a phone function.

Hope not as I want proper anaolouge sticks on the PSP2.

I felt like making this topic last night but didn't. This is so freaking dumb. Touch analog (scratch that, digital?) is probably one of the worst ideas I've ever seen. Add that to the fact that its a phone. I'm pretty sure playing this would give you very little battery, and the processing power is'nt up to par with all the stuff it will be doing at once. At least the 3DS has a dedicated GPU, and the two processors will work somewhat like a dual core system I believe (probably wrong). Plus, this thing is only going to play downloadable games, and we all know how f***ed up that is. This is like the PSP go but you can't buy it for a semi-reasonable price unless you have a phone upgrade available. Good move Sony, once again screwing up the video game world.

I'm fairly certain this is the PSP2. I don't think sony is that stupid.

To be fair, Sony has been making their Ericsson phones for quite a while. This just happens to be their "omg we need an android phone too!" phone.

I don't get the fake analog stick thing. Even the (awful) slidy-stick from the PSP works better...

Well, they do have android phones. My friend has one with android on it, runs nicely with a custom UI. android 1.6 and no android market, though

Hey their not-video-game electronics are actually pretty good. (Yes they make something besides PS3s and PSPs )

The last thing the PSP needs right now is brand diversification. They need to either focus on the PSP lite (drop the Go), or come up with a completely new PSP2.

You have to admit this is just another "WE NEED AN ANDROID PHONE NOW" cash grab by another electronics manufacturer. Nobody would care about that thing if it had a slide-out QWERTY keyboard instead of the bottom half of a PSP Go.
