I need a pinout for the power plug on one of these. It is a Memorex Dual Format DVD Recorder. Model 3202-3288.
I purchase one of these for $3.00 but it does not have a power supply and I can't find a replacement one. So I was thinking I could rewire it if i knew the pinout.

It's probably got a regular IDE optical drive inside, if you don't necessarily need it to be external.

The model is in the 1st post. From what I have read it looks like the same power supply that the DR V64 uses. But I can not find one of those either. I want it to stay external so a Power supply is a must.

Could you crack it open and show us how that connector is wired internally, or is it under warranty?

The plug looks just like a S-Video jack. You could probably just hack an S-Video cable and use it for that, unless you can get a bare connector and add your own wiring to it. It's very likely that it uses 12V and maybe also 5V, unless it has a step-down built in. The easiest way to figure it out would be to open it and see how it's wired.
