Ecumenical movement?

Post by blaze3927 » Mon Oct 11, 2010 5:01 am

i want an ecumenical movement amongst all these websites that are different names for the same thing. im sick of browsing three plus forums to get to all of the worklogs/interesting mods.
is anyone else (users, no mods/admins please) annoyed by this or am i an outlyer?

Well just pick one and just don't go to others. Modrewho? That site doesn't come up in my browser.

Someone needs to invent software that automatically displays multiple forums combined client-side.

But really unless there's a topic I'm really involved in I just give each tab a quick scan every so often. It's not that big of a deal.

well there's the two obvious which are pretty much exactly

benheck & modretro.

most have the same worklogs with only a few exclusive to one site.

Bacteria's wordpress:

like modretro most users on bacteria forums are already registered on benheck/modretro. a bit more exclusive than the other two.

sure its not too bad. But imo one site already provides what the other ones offer.

there was just one place for everything. then bacteria palmer, SS and others made modretro, then bacteria left modretro and started his own forum or something. people had different thoughts about how the forums should be, or had issues with specific individuals. thats why the other sites sprung up. so what bic said, someone needs to invent software that automatically displays multiple forums combined client-side. because thats the only way having all 3 of those sites together is gonna happen lol

Well Germ just copies other peoples ideas and calls them his own so just don't go there.

bicostp, there used to be a version of mozilla that did that; but it was never updated after phpBB2.

He denies all of the new techniques, too.
