Able to predict future?

Post by HotDog-Cart » Wed Jun 27, 2007 9:32 am

I dont know if this falls under this catagory, but.. Well.

I've had some weird stuff lately. Everything I look at would display 360. Like my download, said 360 Kbps, My clock said 3:60 (The batteries dead), I turned on TV and I see a 360 commerical, change channel and there it is again. I was trying to figure out the name of a game for my freind (bioshock), and I turned to Xplay, and there wasa preview for Bioshock.

Now, yesturday my freind said he could lend me his 360 until I get mine, but I had a weird feeling. and I said "No". Then today, My 360 comes.

Anyone know what this is? and has had it before? Karma?

Your clock said 3:60?

I think you mean 4:00?
If you're looking at this post and it was made before 2008, just ignore it.

Seriously, the clock can't say 3:60, so I'm calling BS on this one.

That'd be like 0400 [am] or 1600 [pm].

Did you read what I said? The BATTERY WAS DEAD. What happens when a battery dies in a Alarm clock? The clock starts to display weird stuff, like upside down f's.

wikipedia wrote:Apophenia is the experience of seeing patterns or connections in random or meaningless data. The term was coined in 1958 by Klaus Conrad, who defined it as the "unmotivated seeing of connections" accompanied by a "specific experience of an abnormal meaningfulness".
its like the discordian law of fives. basically your mind is really focused on 360 so you start noticing anything related to 360 as being somehow connected to it, you normally wouldnt notice but since your thinking about it you do
wikipedia again wrote:The Law of Fives is summarized on page 00016 of the Principia Discordia:

The Law of Fives states simply that: ALL THINGS HAPPEN IN FIVES, OR ARE DIVISIBLE BY OR ARE MULTIPLES OF FIVE, OR ARE SOMEHOW DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY APPROPRIATE TO 5.
The Law of Fives is never wrong.

The Law of Fives includes the word "Five" five times.

Like most of Discordianism, the Law of Fives appears on the surface to be either some sort of weird joke, or bizarre supernaturalism; but under this, it may help clarify the Discordian view of how the human mind works; Lord Omar is quoted later on the same page as having written, "I find the Law of Fives to be more and more manifest the harder I look."

Appendix Beth of Robert Shea's and Robert Anton Wilson's The Illuminatus! Trilogy considers some of the numerology of Discordianism, and the question of what would happen to the Law of Fives if everyone had six fingers on each hand. The authors suggest that the real Law of Fives may be that everything can be related to the number five if you try hard enough. Sometimes the steps required may be highly convoluted.
