I guess it would be a good idea to sticky this thread afterall. Below is the psone screen's controller card pinout. It's pretty much self explanatory.

Nice job. I was going to do this sometime so I could hook it up to a super gun but you beat me to it.

Yeah, but I'm missing the most important input, and that's Composite/C Sync In. I tried to find it, but it didn't seem to be hooked up to any of the cables :?

Have you checked this site http://starfox.ucc.asn.au/carcomp/serio_lcd.htm It shows you how to connect it to vga but it's for pal so I'm not sure if it would work with a ntsc screen. Gamesx says that the c sync is the ntsc video pin. Here's where someone connected sync http://www.arcadecollecting.com/info/sonylcd.jpg

That's all i could find about the screen w/o desoldering the connectors off the board that connects to the psone.

yeah, c sync and composite are the same lines, I'll check those sights too.

I just saw the second site you listed, and they wired directly to the header board, this pinout is for wiring to the lcd controller itself

That's what I've done, but I can't see where composite/c sync is on the wires,
Also, I forgot to label the power input. V in is wire 1 and Ground is wire 2 on the first slot.

I desoldered all the connectors with a heat gun here are the scans. I would finish your diagram but I need to sleep

Thanks, those scans might help somebody, but if you look at the composite input lines on both ps a/v ports, they seem to be connected together, but not to the screen. :(

Here's what I made

Image

I traced all of the lines and this is what I came up with. The thing is that I can't get my lcd to turn on fully. It starts up and flashes the image for a sec but then goes to a blank screen. The 12th pin needs 5v so the screen stays on but whatever I do i can't seem to get mine to stay on. Maby I fried it. It would be nice if i had another header board that worked so I could test my lcd. :x The composite video works even though it is supposed to be Y in, I see a clear picture for a second so it works but my screen switches to the "sleepmode" mayby there's somthing I missed on the header. Gannon if you could try it that would be great but I don't know if you have a working lcd.

It's weird that we got different results for the pinout. I'll try those connections since I just got a new lcd, I just don't want to break it.

Edit:
Nevermind!! I just realised that I had the wires for ports 1 and 2 reversed :?
I'll try your diagram mr.mod.

Yeah, I forgot to tell you that.
There must be somthing I missed on the header. I'll buy a new screen soon so I can test it with the header and see if my old screen still works.

The odder thing that I noticed is that you got Yin labelled as Composite in. It would be pretty odd if it actually is Composite in since that lead goes to the Luma pin.
