I just recently ordered a psone screen and when i recieved it, i noticed a very weird tint on it. Normally colors that are red and orange are very pink when seen through the psone screen i just got. I tried a different lcd but it was still the same. Has anybody else had a problem like this? or know how i would go about trying to fix the tint on the screen? Thanks

Did you try the same output (VGA, Component, SVID w/e) with another non-PS1 lcd?

Sounds like you've lost all or part of the blue signals going to the LCD. Take it apart and reseat the LCD ribbon cable.

Well it had the tint when I recieved the screen and before I took it apart. Anyway I was touching some components on the back and when I touch this one component with my finger the colors are fine. When I touch the component with my finger, am I basically bypassing that component? What would I need to do for the colors to stay accurate eternally?
Re: Psone Scree: Weird Tint
Well, show us the component - picture, video of you touching it and the colors changing, etc.

Or highlight it on one of the various ps1 screen motherboard pics.

The component is labeled cv29 and when I touch the lower contact of it with a screw driver it corrects the colors on the screen.
Re: Psone Scree: Weird Tint
Sounds like a bad solder joint, and the pressure from the screwdriver is making it connect. If you have a fine point soldering iron, reheat the solder on each side of the component until it flows again and take the iron away, that should re-establish the connection permanently.GamecubePerson111 wrote:The component is labeled cv29 and when I touch the lower contact of it with a screw driver it corrects the colors on the screen.

I'm barely applying any pressure but I'll try desoldering the joint.

I tried resoldering but no luck
Re: Psone Scree: Weird Tint
Does touching it with the screwdriver still correct the colors?
Pics and vid, please - they would help a lot.
