What screens can and can't be used: PoD's Screens Page

Screen Hacks
Below is the psone screen's controller card pinout. It's pretty much self explanatory.

To input composite video plus left and rght audio without using the mini av/in jack do this:
Image
Yellow - Comp. video
Red - Right audio
White - Left audio
*Remember to tie the consoles and the screens grounds together!

If you cant get a PSone screen to work this might fix it:
(This is if your screen powers up but goes blank.)

Updated list on screens you can use:

-PSone screen
-hipgear screen
-Gamecube screens (low quality)
-Pocket TV screens with an AV input

-Any screen specifically designed to be used for composite, or possibly s-video/RGB can obviously be used. Any kind of screen that hooks up to a console can be used, as well (like the Xbox 360 one, the PS2 7" one, etc.). Basically, if the screen is intended as just that, a screen (an it comes with an LCD board to convert the composite signal and provide power), or if it's part of something else (like the pocket TV) but has an AV input (or possibly output, though if it's just output it's less likely) then it can be used. The first two screens mentioned are definitely the best, though, followed by pocket TV screens.

I looked and this isn't posted in this thread. It's the screen Ben used in the Phoenix. (Thanks for putting it up earlier, HK-47.)

Read that for SNES, N64, o GCN. HK, maybe you could add that as a help link in your post 8) . This question comes up often.

Not quite...

Gamegear, Laptop, Game Boy (and cell phone :P) screens will NOT work by themselves. You would need to buy/build an adaptor board. I know this is on PoD, but it needs to be said here for simplicity's sake.

Hahah, that'd be great, if somebody broke in or something, and hooked up a NES.
