When I wired my headphone jack to my Psone screen it worked perfectly fine, except for the fact that the speakers continue to operate whether the headphones are plugged in or not.

I followed "Life of Brian" 's guide, but I still have this problem. If the headphones are plugged in, the speakers become quieter, but I still hear sound.

I used this jack(http://www.thesource.ca/estore/product.aspx?language=en-CA&product=2740246&catalog=Online&tab=3#more) because the one on the Psone screen only emitted right audio in the headphones.

Sorry man I would love to help you but I am not to the part with the psone screen yet in my Gamecube portable? I am just writing this because I know how frustrating it is to write a post and then people ignore it. Sorry I wish I could help but I am new to portabilizing.
