can flux do bad things to parts on the ps2 motherbourd?
also after i remove the chip. i now got problems playing ps2 games i replce lasers 2 time. but it still not reading.
do you got a idea on the problem.
i need help on my modded ps2

Yes. Flux is an acid; it is corrosive. You should always clean flux off a board (with alcohol or flux cleaner) after using it.nintendokid wrote:can flux do bad things to parts on the ps2 motherbourd?

It could be anything causing gameplay issues...
Check the board for solder that has fallen and stuck somewhere, that was not originally designed onto the board. Check also the solder points where you touched for the modchip installation...

well i got another ps2 slim and was able to get a modchip to work on that.
but i got qestions if a game that has two disc and it told you to put in disk 2 and you put it in but system will not play it as it see that its a ps2 copy. also i had a pal dvd moive that will not play. but everything eklse works.
