hi im new in this forum and i have a question.

what do i need to make a PAL N64 portable with LOB64 Interface?
what kind of batteries, screen, etc.
Can i make a portable which plays all games( NTSC (is NTSC for Japan?) and PAL) ?
I hope someone can help me.

ps: if my english is bad sorry i am german

you will need:
an n64 (obviously)
a psone screen (or any other screen with composite imput I recommend the psone screen because it comes with speakers)
some 7.4v batteries with atleast 4000mah
a controller (third party if you want a decent analog stick)
a case (I recommend the zn-45 from polycase.com if you are a beginner)

thats about it, the rest is stuff like wire, solder/soldering iron you know that sort of thing.

EDIT:
You will also be needing a regulator to drop the voltage, I recommend the pth08080waz from texus instruments, you can get it for free by ordering a free sample. You will also be needing a 100uf capacitor and a 2.2k resistor to get the voltage you want.

Do you know how to solder/have you worked with electronics before?
if not then its not recommended you start directly making a nintendo 64 portable.
what you could do is build components for it is practise like:
audio amp
ti pth08080 power circuit
etc...
everything you need to know is in the stickies or acquired with quick searches.

can i use two 47uf capacitors. I dont have a 100uf capacitor at home.

That would probably work just fine. Make sure you wire them in parallel

Does it cost anything to ship the pth08080waz to Germany (transportation costs)?
