Wires, Ethernet cable? Range?

Post by Schavles » Mon Sep 26, 2011 6:14 pm

Im looking for cable for my portable snes project and my friend has over 3k feet of ethernet cable he doesent need. Could the cables work? Or are they not strong enough. If they could work how far untill signal diminishes. Another question is the guides saying to use IDE. Isnt that ribbon cable though? Just split all the cables and use the individual IDE cables? Any suggestions how to split the IDE

Yes. Depending on the signal type, several meters. Yes. Yes. A knife.
