Quick question, is the stretching on that screen bad or is it ok to use in 16:9 mode?

I had my 4.3" hooked up to an N64 next to a 3.5" hooked up to the same N64 and it is barely noticeable.

The stretch is not noticeable at all. Maybe if you got a really big screen like a 7" screen, it would be noticeable, but definitely not with the 4.3" screen.

I use the Radio Shack Ipod system. It's $24 but it is loud and sounds great. Has a power switch, potentiometer and power led. And it is pretty small once you get it out of it's case.

Alright, I'll look into that. I have a small, yet powerful speaker amp too with volume controls and everything. My only concern was how would I get a headphone jack to work with something like this?

Get a switched headphone jack (basically a headphone jack that when you plug in headphones it breaks the connection to 2 extra pins)

Send your un-amplified right and left audio from the N64 into the headphone jack. then from the 2 pins on the switched jack that get disconnected when headphones are plugged in, run that to your amp, then your amp to your speakers.

Doing this will mean:

Code:
boolean headphonePluggedIn = true;
switch(headphonePluggedIn) {
    case  true: "audio from N64 goes into the headphones and not into your amp"; break;
    case false: "audio from N64 goes into your amp, and not to the headphone jack"; break;
}

IDK why he wrote that in code :roll:
But you can just buy a switching headphone jack from Radioshack.
Also, I used an HMDX audio amp. Gets plenty loud, digital push buttons for volume control, stereo!

I am having trouble finding this switching headphone jack. Can someone post a link to one? If it is from Radioshack it would be great because I have a gift card to there, and I could go and get it ASAP.

because it looks way clearer than a run on line of english lol, but maybe that's just me xD

Unsure of where to get the component in America, I work at JayCar in NZ and we sell it. Might be best to just go in and ask them lol. I couldn't turn up anything on the radioshack website.
