there are 2 different board types. the older ones have the seperate APU (audio board) and are pretty difficult to modify if you want to make a really small portable, the others have the audio hardware built into the main board, but the board is larger. here is a pic of an old snesP i was working on a few years ago, rewiring the cartslot and APU is very time consuming. over 120 solder joints total
