Check out the Coby BP-420 Universal DVD Battery. It's got 4000mAh and it's pretty darn cheap.
Good luck.
Good luck.

I assume since you are using the Darth 64 as your influence that you've read hailrazer's post. He has great information on his frankencasing method.

What I've gathered is that ABS cement is pratically essential for bonding elements of the case. You can sand this down and use a filler (such as Bondo) to make it look nice and smooth. This is the method that I am planning to use on my portable as well. ABS cement can be found at your lcoal Home Depot or Lowe's in the plumbing department (about 5 bucks) and body filler (Bondo) can be found at stores like Autozone (also about 5-6 dollars). Considering you have all the other elements necessary to build your portable the major portion of your expense is complete. Just tools, materials, etc. are left...

Re: HERE WE GO!!!!! (restarting my abandoned n64)
Thanks. Glad I could be of assistance.
Couple notes about the battery if you decide to purchase it...
It's very good quality.... Charge time is about six hours. It has an led fuel gauge which is a big plus for me. When you're opening it be very careful. There are no screws so you have to pry or cut the case open. Start at the back and work your way around the sides; then you should be able to pry the two halves apart. Good luck once again.

well i got the stuff. here are my attempts of desoldering
http://www.flickr.com/photos/41888850@N07/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
its the player 3 and 4 ports.
there is also my ps1 controller
i did also buy flux, solder, wire, desoldering bead, and Abs
i just cemented the screen to the lazer doodle. i do have a couple gaps and i was thinking of using cocking to fill it. my other idea was to put tape on the inside and cement the outside, let it harden, then peel the tape. any suggestions?
i should be ordering my battery this week

LOL at "cocking" , it's caulking.N64freak wrote: i just cemented the screen to the lazer doodle. i do have a couple gaps and i was thinking of using cocking to fill it. my other idea was to put tape on the inside and cement the outside, let it harden, then peel the tape. any suggestions?
But no caulking is a BAD idea.
Anywho, with Abs cement for larger gaps you can put duct tape on the inside and then put the abs cement in the gap. let harden for around 10 hours and then peel off the tape. You will want to lust use the abs cement for bonding and then use epoxy to finish filling the gap.
